If you are outside South Africa
Use a gambling support service in your own country. You can also explore Gambling Therapy for international online support. If you are in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services.
Set limits before you play
- Keep rent, food, bills and savings separate from gambling money.
- Decide a spending limit you can afford to lose and a time to stop.
- Use deposit or spending limits where available. Avoid raising them during a session.
- Take breaks and do not gamble when distressed, intoxicated or trying to escape a problem.
- Never chase losses or borrow money to keep playing.
Notice when the pattern changes
Spending more than intended, hiding transactions, borrowing, neglecting commitments or feeling unable to stop can be reasons to seek help. You do not have to diagnose yourself before speaking to a counsellor. A trusted person can help you take the first step.
Taking a break or self-excluding
Look for the operator’s cooling-off and self-exclusion tools, or contact its support team to request them. Ask what the restriction covers, when it begins and how it is enforced. Consider blocking tools and payment restrictions offered by your device or bank. A new account at a different operator undermines a break; pause the comparison search instead.
Adults only
This website is for adults aged 18 or over, or the higher minimum age where applicable. Keep devices and payment accounts away from children, do not share casino accounts and use parental controls where appropriate. Gambling is entertainment with a risk of loss, not a source of income.
